Whoopsy...

To be honest... I totally forgot my blog!! I have been back in the Netherlands since a week now. I will tell you a bit about my last 2 weeks in Glasgow and next week I'll probably write my last blog telling you how it is to be back.

I went back to the Netherlands during the Christmas holiday and New Years Eve. It was nice seeing my family again and spending Christmas with them. However, I do regret my decision to stay in the Netherlands with NYE. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to be with NYE in Glasgow and I passed... My flatmates organized a party at our flat, so when I saw all the pictures of my friends in my flat without me I got sad. I did enjoy my NYE in the Netherlands, but I can do that every year, that's not the same with Glasgow!

January 5th was the day I'd fly back to Glasgow from Amsterdam Airport. I didn't sleep a lot that night because the weather was awfull. When I arrived in the kitchen that morning my dad said that there were already flights being cancelled and delayed at the airport. NO!!! I wanted to go back to see all my friends again! On our way to the airport my sister called me, telling me that the first flight of the day to Glasgow was cancelled and mine was delayed for 3 hours. At the airport Easyjet said that they were pretty confident the flight wouldn't get cancelled and might even be earlier than the 3 hours delay so I had to keep an eye on the information boards. Eventually I was sitting in the plane 2 hours after the expected time. It was quite a stressful day, but I was glad that at least I had a flight, because I was really looking forward to see my friends and in particular one guy... You might not know this and I wont get into much details but during my exchange I have met an amazing Mexican guy named Daniel. And the worst thing you can do while being on exchange happened to us... We fell in love!

The next two weeks I had to study a lot for my two exams. They were planned in my last week in Glasgow. I wished they would have been a week earlier so I could enjoy Glasgow a bit more. Because it wasn't possible to stay longer. I had to leave the student accommodation the 21st of January, because new students would arrive the day after. My exams went pretty good. The system is a bit different than I'm used to with my study IBA in Tilburg. We got 6 questions and only had to answer 3 within 2 hours. They expect from you to write it in essayform, so introduction, middle section and conclusion. I had no idea how much I had to write for one question. The first exam was the easiest, but I was done within an hour as first from 40 students! I got nervous, because I didn't know whether I studied way too hard and just knew the answers quick, or that I didn't write down enough... With my second exam it was the same, I needed slightly more than 1 hour to finish. My friends were all exchange students so I couldn't compare with them since they also didn't know what's normal. But I do have a good feeling about the exams so now I have to wait for the results!

Next time will probably be the last time I write a blog and I will tell you about my goodbye from Glasgow and welcome to the Netherlands. Maybe, if I find the time I wilI also do one blog with a lot of pictures! I could continue writing this blog and tell you more about the adventures Daniel and I are going to have in Mexico and the Netherlands... but I don't think that's the purpose of this blog ;)

Cheers!!!
